Promptindications for activating a paediatric massive Transfusion protocol

Child requiring >20 mL/kg of PRBC in 2 hours AND anticipated ongoing loss
OR
Child requiring >40mL/kg of PRBC in 24 hours with ongoing blood loss
By Blood Bank:
Child <5 years: >2 units of PRBC issued within 1 hour
OR
Child >5 years: >4 units of PRBC issued within 1 hour
Also
> 50% of TBV in 3 hours or > 100% in 24 hours
Anticipated massive haemorrhage in severe trauma
